Description
The research topic, hosted within the Innochain ETN Network, seeks to develop virtual prototyping strategies for FRP lattices that are fabricated through the Coreless Filament Winding process that has been developed at the University of Stuttgart since 2013.
The current design process for projects that utilise this method of fabrication often relies upon inherent knowledge, physical model-making and full-scale physical prototyping. This research seeks to collate a series of digital design tools that can assist future projects by enabling a greater degree of prototyping within a virtual environment.
